forty nine.

it's hard to believe how quickly the summer is passing. perhaps it's the up and down weather we've been having, or just the beginning of the summer business. whatever the case, I'm perfectly content spending the days like i have, gardening, sewing, and cleaning up all the clutter that has been pushed aside this past year. now all i need to do is go back to work (but hopefully I'll have that arranged by the end of the week).

the garden is doing well, despite the shade, thunderstorms, and twenty degrees below normal weather in Boston. The best thing about keeping the plants in pots is that you can move them around! There is two tiny lettuce sprouts are growing, but i think i'll have to wait until late summer to start some more in a sunnier spot. poppies are sprouting, but still tiny enough to get battered into the soil in the rain. Potato is growing well however, and the corn is going strong!

The indoor basil and cucumber sprouts are also doing excellent. I do think that i will need to get some soil asap to re-pot them, and the corn soon as well.

closely related to the garden, I have begun to redesign empty and amazing @ etsy. The other day I decided to put my collecting, arranging, and photographing skills to use, and managed to take some lovely photographs of my vintage items that i am quite pleased with. i'm counting on NOAA's weather forecast to be true so that i can take advantage of the two day window of sun to take some more!

rain or shine, however i have ideas to go off of, and things to make!
